A week (or more)

These are relaxed and informal holidays rather than regimented tours with a rigid itinerary. A centre-based holiday allows us to be very flexible and offer a choice of routes each day. The rides are designed to introduce you to the area and it's history. They also include a suitable lunch stop such as a small restaurant, a bakery or a picnic at a viewpoint.

Accompanied rides

Most of our rides are in the range of 40 to 60 miles (60km to 100km) depending on the fitness of the group, the terrain, the weather etc.. Each week we'll run a programme of rides which will show you a selection of the many excellent roads. They include the magnificent gorges of the Vercors, the orchards of the Isere valley and the picturesque hills to the west.

Riding Independently

Although part of the reason for coming on a Gastrobiking holiday is to ride with fellow cyclists, it's sometimes nice to ride on your own. We have a wide choice of routes available.

Alpe d'Huez

We often have a midweek trip to ride Alpe d'Huez.

Fitness and experience

If you're not sure about your level of fitness or not riding fast enough please get in touch and we can advise you on a suitable week. In most instances we try to assemble groups of a similar ability so that we don't have fitter cyclists getting frustrated and not-so-fit cyclists struggling to keep up.

Enquiries and Booking

Please feel free to send us an email if there's anything you'd like to ask about. We can advise you on suitable times to come and if you're coming on your own, we can make sure you're coming at the same time as someone of a similar ability.
