Sport Cycling Routes

If you manage to get out on your bike on a regular basis on 80 to 100 mile rides we have a selection of classic routes for you. The routes include two or more climbs but most have short cuts and the routes have cafes and snack bars that are good stop off points.

Here are a couple of routes that we do with our Cyclosportive standard of riders.

Lunch in Die (145km)

This challenging circuit has become a bit of a classic as there are not any shorter options once you have past the Col de Bacchus. It's a fantastic ride in both directions and Die is a great place to have a chilled-out lunchstop.

Grenoble - St.Nizier

After a fairly flat 40 mile (60km) ride to Grenoble the 11 mile (14.5km) climb to St.Nizier gives superb views over Grenoble and the Alps. After the summit it's more-or-less downhill all the way back.

Lunch in Tullins

The 50 mile circuit to Tullins along the Isere valley is a popular midweek recovery ride especially as there are two very recommendable places to have lunch.
