If you're not a dab hand at bike maintenance you probably won't be too confident dismantling your bike and putting it into a bike bag or box let alone re-assembing it on your own at the other end.

We have a selection of good quality road bikes available with suitable gearing for the mixed terrain you'll encounter. They are well maintained by ourselves and Jean-Pierre who is a free-lance professonal bike mechanic who works in local bike shops and acts as mechanical assistance on several long distance endurance mountain bike events.

Although it's nice to ride your own bike, renting a bike enables you to sample how other bikes handle and to try a slightly different riding position. You'll also have something with suitable gearing for the climbs.

All our bikes, except one, have drop handlebars and we have a women specific bike.

Pedals: We have Look, Look Keo, and Shimano spd. You may prefer to bring your own.

Saddles: We have a selection of saddles but you may prefer to bring your own.

When renting a bike we'll ask you to send us the measurements of your own bike so that we can get as close to your fit as possible.

	LOOK 241 Carbon frame 56cm Shimano Ultegra with FSA compact 34/50 chainrings with 12/26 rear cassette. Mavic Cosmic wheels.
	BH Medium compact frame (roughly 56-58cm) Aluminium frame and forks. Shimano 105 with FSA triple crankset (30/40/50) and a 12-26 rear cassette.. This is a really comfortable bike and handles well on the descents.
	Colnago Dream 54cm frame Campagnola gearing and brakes. Mavic wheels. This is a beautiful frame and it's comfortable and excellent on descents. Dig out an old jersey for a full-on retro look.
	Diamond Back 54cm Aluminium frame with carbon forks. Shimano 105 groupset with a triple chainset (30/42/52) and a 12-23 rear cassette. Mavic rims with Michelin Carbon Krylian tyres. A very comfortable and responsive bike weighing in at 9kg.
	Lapierre Sport 60cm Aluminium frame and forks. Shimano Sora groupset with a triple chainset (30/40/50) and a 13-28 rear cassette. Lapierre bikes are very popular in France and are used by the Francaise des Jeux professional cycling team. This entry level racing bike is comfortable and handles well on the descents.
	Specialised Dolce This is a ladies specific geometry bike. Shimano Sora groupset with a triple chainrings (30/40/50) and a 13-26 rear cassette. Suitable for women 5'7'' and under. This is a comfortable bike which climbs well and is easy to handle on twisting descents.
